Religious Science teaches the TEACHINGS OF Jesus and the Science of Mind is based upon his philosophy and his belief in God's kingdom.

We believe that "when ye pray believing and do not doubt in your heart"* that our prayers will be answered. We believe that God brings only good into our lives, and that this good is not ours because we ask, but because we believe.

We believe that illness, in harmony, unhappiness, and lack do not come from our contact with people or circumstances but, as Jesus taught, "within the hearts of men are evil thoughts" * (emotional patterns of hate, fear, and false guilt) "and it is these that defile a man."* We believe that when we practice his commandment of love that we "become perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect."*

We believe, as did he, that "the kingdom of God is within you"*, that it is "the Father within, He doeth the works"*, "beloved NOW are we the sons of God"*, that it is "the Father's GOOD PLEASURE to give you the kingdom"*, and that your Father knoweth what you have need of before you ask."*

We believe that when we recognize God's limitless and infinite wisdom, his infallibility and absolute capability that we become better able to say "Father thy will be done"*, allowing His will and intelligence to express itself in our lives, fulfilling our every need in a perfect way.

We believe that it is not only right, but essential to our happiness and well-being, that we pray for the tangible needs of life that take the form of our material abundance and we join with Jesus in realizing that these things cannot come to us through worry or anxiety and that we need to (through affirmative prayer and faith) "seek first the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness and ALL these things will be added unto you."*

In the study of Religious Science we find in Jesus' thinking not weakness, but strength; not surrender, but triumph; not less of life and living, but more, and the Science of Mind finds absolutely no controversy in his teachings and completely accepts his philosophy as the pathway to God's kingdom here and now "ON EARTH as it is in Heaven."*
