ARTS AND SERVICES FOR THE DISABLED

You may have noticed some colorful half sheet flyers on our
literature table entitled "Arts and Services for the Disabled"-
Cultural Education Center for the Arts. Yvette Jones, one of the
Center's congregational members, is a nurse employed by this program. This is a job which Yvette knows she is blessed to have.

The organization is a very special day program serving adults with a variety of special needs including autism and developmental disabilities. It is a nonprofit mostly privately funded program and like all nonprofits addressing special needs it is in need of much assistance. I asked her to give me a wish list of items which the program needs. The items are not expensive nor excessive but the costs can impact a limited budget. The items are important in sustaining a training, therapeutic, and educational program.

Members of our congregation can be so helpful by donating
the items listed on the half sheet flyers. Yvette will be glad to take them to the program in Hawthorne. You will be providing a
grand community service.

  THE MEN's GROUP

The Men's Group is growing! Growing in the inner world of
consciousness. One of the Master Mind dialogues we have is
written for handling the holidays but is really very valuable all year round. Among other things, it says, "I release limitations by reminding myself of this truth: I instantly know everything I need to know and I instantly possess the wisdom I need and I use it". When we turn to the Unlimited and begin to rely on its guidance we discover a new and powerful source of help, wisdom and
strength. And we discover it within our very own being. Believe
in limitation and that is what you find. Believer in the Unlimited
and your experience leads you on an ever-expanding path of
surprising Good.

We have learned in The Men's Group that we cannot
control others but we can control ourselves. As we maintain
the focus of our energy on our own consciousness, we end up
being the most helpful we can be in a given situation. Others
are strengthened by our consciousness and our determination
to express the best that is within us. It's not magic though it
seems like it sometimes. Our unfoldment happens according to
natural law but the more consciousness of this we are, the more
we participate in our evolution, the more transformative it is.
The Men's Group meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month
at 12:15 -ish. Please join us if you are ready for greater Good.
Namaste.
